CRUX is a DWS event held in Singapore Toa Payoh Swimming Complex in 2017 as part of Get Active SG 2017. We collaborated with Sports SG and PAYM to have a carnival alongsides CRUX 2017. DWS stands for Deep Water Solo, a much more different version of rock climbing. The term "Solo" is used to describe climbing without equipment. Deep Water Solo thus involves involves climbers climbing high walls between the height of 5 - 20m above a body of water. It is also known as Psicobloc originated in the late 1970s. DWS is not very prevalent as it requires a unique setting that not many places offer. ​
CRUX 2017 will be a first in Southeast Asia and the second of its kind in Asia and we hope that we can set a foundation to establish a DWS competition here to further expand the climbing community in Singapore.

For this event, I was the Admin and Safety Head. I led a team of 3 to provide relevant documents such as safety, insurance as well as taking care of the administration process. Furthermore, we also created a volunteer list, allocating the necessary manpower for the event as well as a timeline for the event.
